Del Mar Fair Time

Yummy, yummy! We went to the Fair on the first weekend. It was so much fun!! We loved all the great food! We started out by parking outside of the fairgrounds so we could take a bus in! We got to ride in a school bus! Riley and I loved the ride! It was exciting how the bus took us behind the fair so we got to see all the rides and all the fun! I couldn't wait to get in!
We had corn dogs for dinner, yummy!!! Daddy had a giant turkey leg for dinner. Check out how big!

Riley liked hamming it up for the camera... but she also LOVED her first corn dog. She got a few bites of Mama's.
Next up was dessert. It's tradition for Mama and Daddy to get gingerbread, always from the little pink house. That was from when Mama would go here when she was little and Ma would get gingerbread every year. It is the BEST! Warm with whipped cream all over the top. Mama took a picture to send to Ma :)

Right around the corner there was the paddock stage with a bluegrass band playing. There was open grass and a perfect place to eat. Ry enjoyed getting out of the stroller for awhile and I enjoyed playing too. It surprised Mama that I liked the gingerbread, but Riley didn't. She's actually turning out to be a little more picky on her sweets, that's a good thing ;)

When Ry's in the stroller, she loves looking up at Mama :)

We walked around by the rides. I talked about the ferris wheel and said I wanted to go on it. Then said I didn't know if I did... well, I've been telling Mama all the time afterwards that I wanted to go high up in the wheel. Next time we'll have to give it a try. I got to take a ride on the Footsie Wootsie instead. Notice my "x" Velcro on my shoes. That's how I wear them since that's what super hero shoes look like.

I also got a tooth fairy pillow there. It has Super John written on it. That weekend I found that I had a loose tooth! Now I'm ready for the tooth fairy's first visit. What a fun night! I've been talking about the fair a lot and I love when we see a "Taste the Fun" sign and I always tell Mama and Daddy that we went there :) It was fun going to Ma's on the 4th and getting to see the fair again from the freeway. I can't wait until next year....
