I had my weekly appointment today. Things are progressing right along. He said that I'm 90% effaced, but no dilation yet and she's also very low in my abdomen. I asked where that puts us with a time frame. You can't know about babies for sure, but he's predicting that she'll come some time this month!! He's guessing a few more weeks, which would put us around the 25th again. That's what the ultrasound predicted. Wow! We need to be ready for the 25th (or sooner!), but if she waits until March, that's going to be a LONG few weeks :) The good news is both of our vitals were good, so no concerns there. We're 36 weeks this week and 37 weeks is considered full term. He said the goal is to keep her in as long as possible, but he's not concerned about her well being if she comes even tomorrow.
She's been moving around like a crazy lady lately, especially this morning! She was moving so much it took awhile to find her heart beat. He said she was in an interesting position. She was head down, but lying more on her back with her head looking up. He described it like she was sitting in a lounge chair! Hopefully that means she'll be nice and laid back :) I also hope she's nice to her Mama and moves into the proper position before labor. The dr didn't seem concerned about her positon at this point.
What an appointment! Lots of news, but still lots of waiting! I better use the rest of John's naptime to finish packing my bag! :)
