I had my first day of swim class! This wasn't just any swim class, but my first one on my own AND where I learn to swim! I didn't really know what to expect. I like swimming and I thought it would be fun. I went right in the gate with Mr. Tyler and didn't look back. Mama couldn't go on the pool deck, she had to stay outside behind the gate. Grandma, Da and Riley had to stay there too. You know Mama though, she was still able to take pictures! :)
I'm the one in the orange shirt
My first trip away from the wall.... I went under a bit, so I got a little scared.

I had to hold onto the wall while the other kids were with the teacher. I was usually OK, but Mama could hear me crying from across the pool other times. I've never been to a class like this!

Here's my 2
nd trip out...

This time I was a little more freaked out

Riley wished she was able to swim like me!

Time to get out!

I even got my own towel. I did take it up to Mr. Tyler so he could help put it on me... my shoes too.

Overall it was a good class. I was scared at times and I had fun at times. I came out of the pool with a horse voice. We don't know if it was from the water or crying. I was really chatty about it in the car, but now I'm telling Mama and
Da that I don't want to go to Mr. Tyler's pool. We'll see... I have class again at 3:50 today. Wish me luck!!

John, swimming is so much fun! When you have to wait at the wall, that is the best time to cheer on your classmates, to help them learn how to swim. Keep up with your classes, and pretty soon, you'll be a pro and be lapping Michael Phelps!
