Regina and Evan brought over a Slip and Slide to play on yesterday, so much fun! At first John was very nervous about it. He fretted and cried a little, but we still set it up. Once he saw Evan do it a few times, he wanted to do it too. With his goggles on of course!
You can't really tell with the pictures, but he would run all the way on the orange slippy part and then fall (on purpose) at the end. He didn't get the whole sliding concept, but he had fun!
He loved watching Evan slide too!
Look at Evan go!!
Riley enjoyed watching the boys, but she wasn't too cure. I slid her on it a few times. She didn't cry, but she wasn't happy.
Our goggle boy!
Riley was walking in downward dog the whole time! So funny! I don't she liked crawling with her knees on the cement. Thanks again for the suit Cousin Lily! It fits great and so cute!!
More fun! I even got a turn! Louis and Regina said I should get in there and show them how to do it. Well, it sure looked like fun, so I did! It was SUPER fun! I haven't been on a slip and slide in ages! I went on it 3 times and man I was tired after that, I guess that shows I'm getting old :) I like to think I still had good form since I felt like I slid for quite awhile. Luckily no one took pictures of me sliding!
Now they are stomping on the water bar and making "fireworks" with the water. John did eventually take the goggles off too!
What great buddies! They have so much fun together! I'm so glad their first school experience was together!
More fireworks!
After Evan left, John stayed in the water. This from the same kid that freaked when he first saw the slip and slide! I walked out without him realizing I heard him and he was rolling the ball down the slide and he was saying, "Don't worry ballie, it's not scary". I thought that was so cute!
