John lost a tooth!!!

November 6, I was woken up at 6:00am by a little voice saying, "Mama, I just lost my very first tooth!" Louis was already up and John had crawled in bed with me since it was still dark. His tooth was so loose, it literally fell out! No blood, no pulling. We were both so excited!! He couldn't wait for the Tooth Fairy to come. Since it happened so early, he had all day to wait and enjoy the new space in his mouth.

There's his tooth, so small. Notice his blue blankie in the background. It was a fairly emotional moment for me. I just can't believe he's old enough for lost teeth! Seeing that little tooth there made me think about the first time I saw it... that made me cry too! I was putting Baby John down for a nap and I saw a little white spot in his open, sleeping mouth. I was amazed and called Daddy and Ma right away! I felt like he was growing up too fast then too!

There it is!
That day we were heading up to OC for Haylie's baby shower. John had fun showing everyone his tooth hole. He made best friends with one of Uncle Eric's buddies. At one point he came running up to me and said, "Mama! Where's my tooth! I need to show him!" Him being John's new BFF. That night the Tooth Fairy came, even though we weren't at home. He got $3 and there was even fairy glitter on the money! There was even some glitter on his cheek where the Tooth Fairy must have kissed him! He was so excited! He finally got to use his Super John tooth pillow :) What a big milestone! This year has sure been full of such special moments like this.
